Our Mission

At Shimmy Shakes, our mission is to make dance accessible, inclusive, and joyful for every child. We are committed to providing a high-quality dance program without the high costs traditionally associated with dance, ensuring that all families can participate.

We proudly operate as an inclusive dance school, welcoming children of all abilities, including those with additional needs. Our classes are designed to be enjoyed by both boys and girls, fostering confidence, creativity, and a love of movement in a supportive environment.

We offer classes for children from 6 months of age through to school age, with small class sizes and age-appropriate groupings. Our program includes general dance classes that focus on fun, creativity, and the foundations of dance. All classes use age-appropriate music and incorporate key word sign language to support communication and inclusion.

Our studio is a child-safe space with easy ground-floor access, parking at the door and a café located just a few metres away, allowing parents to relax while their children enjoy a safe, engaging, and nurturing class.
